About Us

Caliber Limited is an established IBM Reseller of quality solutions for the System i platform. Based in Dublin, Ireland we have a wide experience of diverse applications on IBM's popular midrange hardware. From System/34 right through to the latest System i models, we have developed, sold and supported applications for hospital administration, pharmaceutical quality assurance, HR, recruitment and CRM, all on IBM's midrange platform.

The company was founded by John Phelan and Gerard Duffy, who between them have nearly 50 years IT industry experience, having started out as trainee programmers with IBM in Dublin. Since 2000, John has developed a business relationship with Touchtone Corp in California, USA to help promote their flagship product Wintouch eCRM.

John has been involved in the software business in UK & Ireland since 1990. Originally developing software solutions for the midrange platform in Ireland, Africa and the UK, he now sells and markets a range of solutions in the people management arena.

Gerard Duffy

Gerard Duffy developed a quality assurance system now installed in most of the world's pharmaceuticals and in other FDA controlled industries. In recent years he has developed a salary planning system for both IBM and AIB Group, and a Human Resources system for EBS Building Society, which has since been installed by Statoil and FBD Insurance. His ambition with Caliber is to promote a world-class CRM system to help corporations manage the change to a more flexible workforce.
